Cost and Ramada Amenities

Rates are $10.00 hour.  Minimum reservation time is 30 minutes. Ramadas are available during park operating hours: 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Ramada reservations must be made between three (3) days and 6 months in advance.

Large Groups Reservations

Step 1.Complete this Ramada Reservation form for groups of 50 or more.

All reservations shall be made no more than six months in advance from the requested use date and will be on a first come, first served basis. Ramadas are available during park operating hours: 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Step 2.Parks and Recreation staff will confirm date availability

Please allow for 48 hours (not including weekends) for staff to verify availability and respond to request.

Step 3.Pay ramada fee

  • Staff will take payment over the phone.
  • Call Parks and Recreation office to make any changes or cancel your reservation.
  • Parks and Recreation  - 520-229-5050  or  email: recreation@orovalleyaz.gov
  • Cancel any facility for no penalty before 72 hours of date of use.
  • Reservations cancelled within 72 hours of the date of use will incur a $12 cancellation fee.
  • No refunds/credits after the start date.
  • In the event of inclement weather, refunds/credits will be applied if the Parks and Recreation Office is contacted the day after the reservation. 
 RAMADA USE PERMIT TERMS 

The Ramada Use Permit authorizes exclusive use of the reserved ramada at the approved date and time. Authorization of a Ramada Use Permit is subject to the terms of use below. Failure to adhere to these terms of use will result in additional fees and/or suspension of ramada use privileges. Pease read carefully. 

  • Ramada Use Permits can be issued up to six months in advance from the requested use date and will be issued on a first-come, first-serve basis. Ramada Use Permits are available for $10/per hour and can only be reserved during park operating hours: 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.  

  • Ramada Use Permit times must include the necessary time required for setup and teardown of any equipment and cleanup. 

  • Ramada Use Permits are now available on-line through the Town of Oro Valley website Parks & Recreation Ramada Reservations and www.playov.com . For events of 50 people or more, please do not reserve online and instead submit a Ramada Use Permit Request Form.  

  • Ramada Use Permits are not transferrable. An infraction of this rule will result in revocation of the permit. 

  • Ramada Use Permit Receipt must be in the possession of the user during their approved use. 

  • Ramada Use Permits are approved based on the information provided and may be revoked if altered.  

  • Observance of park rules is required by all persons using these facilities. 

  • No smoking or vaping allowed in park locations where groups tend to gather including bleachers, restrooms, ramadas, swimming pools, dugouts, ball fields, playgrounds, or other areas as deemed inappropriate by the Parks & Recreation Director. 

  • Deposit paper and waste in proper receptacles.  

  • User is responsible for the ramada and its condition during the time reserved. Any damages made to the park facilities will result in fines charged to the permitted user for repair/cleaning and may result in suspension of future permit privileges. 

  • Appropriate language and behavior must be exhibited by all persons using the facilities. Permitted Organizations and Individuals are responsible for the conduct of their users. 

  • Jumping castles/inflatables are prohibited in Oro Valley Parks.  

  • Piñatas (1) per ramada are allowed at James D. Kriegh Park and Riverfront Park.  

  • Entertainment rides, water features and petting zoos are prohibited. 

  • No vehicles or trailers on the fields or grounds at any time. 

  • 10’ x 10’ pop-up canopies are allowed and must be secured with soft-sided weights.  

  • Fires are only allowed in approved barbeque grills at Honeybee Canyon, James D. Kriegh and Riverfront Park. Additional ‘gas only’ grills are restricted to (1) per ramada and must be placed by the existing grill. Additional grills are strictly prohibited at Honeybee Canyon. 

  • No glass containers allowed. 

  • No alcoholic beverages are allowed in Town of Oro Valley Parks under this permit. 

  • Amplified music may be allowed with written approval. Please send your request to recreation@orovalleyaz.gov. Approved amplified sound must be contained to event area. 

  • Electric outlets are available at most ramadas. Power strips and extension cards are prohibited. 

  • No public meetings, signs, fences or selling of goods or services are allowed without first obtaining permission from the Town of Oro Valley Parks & Recreation Department. Any commercial use of parks, ramadas, fields, courts, amphitheater or pool areas, requires permission from the Town of Oro Valley. Any approved commercial activity will require a current Oro Valley Business License obtained through the Community & Economic Development Department. 

  • Food Truck Policy: A reservation holder may obtain a Food Truck Permit to have up to (2) Food Trucks per event. Please call the Oro Valley Parks & Recreation Admin Office to obtain the list of approved food trucks you may use and pay the permit fee: 520-229-5050.  Food Truck Policy  

  • Town of Oro Valley maintains priority for park usage as determined by the Town. The Town has final authority on park usage. 

  • It may be necessary periodically to close the park for repairs. Organizations and Individuals with Ramada Use Permits will be notified in writing or via email two (2) weeks in advance, if possible, if a park closure will interfere with Ramada Use Permit times. In the event the ramadas are unavailable for reasons including but not limited to, park closure due to cleaning, repair etc., a refund will be issued by Oro Valley Parks & Recreation. 

  • In the event of field closure issued by Parks Management, a refund will be issued by Oro Valley Parks & Recreation. 

  • In the event of cancellation by the permitted Organization or Individual due to inclement weather, a refund will be issued if requested by the day after the cancellation. 

  • Organizations shall maintain insurance for the duration of this Ramada Use Permit. The following must be provided to the Town prior to use of the ramada(s): 

  • A Certificate of Insurance showing Commercial General Liability insurance with a limit of not less than $1,000,000 for each occurrence with a $2,000,000 Products/Completed Operations Aggregate and a $2,000,000 General Aggregate Limit and Worker’s Compensation insurance to cover obligations imposed by federal and state statutes having jurisdiction of Organization’s employees engaged in the performance of the work or services; and, Employer’s Liability insurance of not less than $100,000 for each accident, $100,000 disease for each employee, and $500,000 disease policy limit. 

  • An endorsement amending the Organization’s insurance policy and naming the Town as an additional insured as well providing that the Organization’s insurance will be primary for any claims for damages arising from this Field Permit. 

  • The required insurance shall not expire, be canceled, or materially changed without thirty (30) days prior written notice to the Town. 

  • Cancellation Policy:  

  • Ramada Use Permits for regular use cancelled with at least 72 hours’ notice will receive a full refund. Ramada Use Permits for regular use cancelled within 72 hours of the of your reservation will incur a $12 cancellation fee. 

  • Ramada Use Permits issued as part of a special event canceled with at least 30 days’ notice will receive a full refund. Ramada Use Permits issued for special events canceled with less than 30 days’ notice will receive a 50% refund.

Indemnification and Hold Harmless: I hereby agree to the terms indicated above and release, hold harmless, and indemnify the Town of Oro Valley, its officers, employees, and agents, from any losses, claims, actions, suits, or damages which arise, result, or might otherwise be attributable to the Organization’s use of the facilities including, but not limited to, personal injury or property damages except when such damages are determined to be caused by the Town’s own negligence. Any damages awarded are limited to those which are proportioned to the amount of the Town’s negligence. The amount and type of insurance coverage requirements set forth herein will in no way be construed as limiting the scope of indemnity in this paragraph.

Oro Valley Town Clerk’s Office (520) 229-4700

A food truck(s) may only set-up/sell at a Town of Oro Valley location if the following conditions have been met:

1. The truck has been invited by a person/organization which holds a valid Town reservation (i.e., field, ramada, pool, etc.). And the reservation holder has notified the Parks & Recreation Department of the intent to have a food truck and paid the hourly fee.

2. The truck must have a valid Town of Oro Valley Business License/Public Market license through the Town Clerk’s Office. Start the process here: Apply for a Business License

3. The truck must have a valid Health Permit from any Arizona County.

4. The truck must have passed a current inspection by any Arizona Fire Department.

Reservation Holder Responsibilities

Parks & Recreation Office (520) 229-5050

1. The person/organization booking the food truck will pay $15/per hour (limit (2) food trucks per event) for the time present. Failure to inform the intent of the food truck to the Parks & Recreation Department may disqualify the reservation holder from future bookings.

2. Parks & Recreation will verify the food truck permit with the Town Clerk’s Office.

3. The reservation holder must ensure the area is clean of trash, cooking debris, or damage after the event. Failure to do so may disqualify the holder from future reservations.
