ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (Sept. 30, 2024) – Oro Valley residents have spoken! You gave us nearly 9,000 comments, ideas and suggestions that will help shape the foundation of our community’s next 10-year action plan. Your input is driving Oro Valley’s Path Forward. But the journey isn’t over—your voice is still essential!
We’ve summarized and captured what residents value most about Oro Valley, and used those insights to build the draft vision and principles that will guide OV’s future. Together, the vision and guiding principles create the framework for the plan and set things in motion that produce real results in the community. It is important the draft vision and guiding principles reflect what most residents said over the past nine months through surveys, online discussions, and at events
DRAFT Vision
Oro Valley is a community that provides all residents with more services, amenities, and opportunities for high quality living. The Town meets the community’s expectations through strategic and intentional improvements. The Town maintains its unique character by prioritizing public safety, natural beauty, scenic views, outdoor living, and a strong sense of community.
Now it’s your turn to “verify that the vision represents OV residents” by taking the Wordsmith Challenge. Can you think of better phrases to describe what residents want? Are there any values voiced by residents that are missing?
We’re inviting all Oro Valley residents to join the Wordsmith Challenge at OVPathForward.com. Responses that stay true to what most residents said may be incorporated into the draft vision and guiding principles presented to Town Council in December. Participants must be registered on OVPathForward.com and submit their ideas by September 30. All submissions will be entered in a raffle to win an OV Path Forward swag bag.
