National Hospice and Palliative Care Month

WHEREAS, in recognition of this milestone for Casa de la Luz, November marks 25 years of service to Oro Valley and Tucson communities, providing superior hospice and palliative care; and
WHEREAS, offering comprehensive community bereavement programs, and serving as a voice, advocate and resource for end-of-life issues in Southern Arizona; and
WHEREAS, on behalf of the Oro Valley community, we wish to show appreciation to the co-founders, Lynette Jaramillo and Agnes Poore, as well as the numerous team members that have provided superior end-of-life care to our community; and
WHEREAS, in tribute to their co-founders, Casa de la Luz Hospice will memorialize ‘The Jarpor Boardroom’ in honor of Lynette Jaramillo and Agnes Poore.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Joseph C. Winfield, Mayor of Oro Valley, do hereby proclaim the month of November 2023 as
NATIONAL HOSPICE AND PALLIATIVE CARE MONTH
in the Town of Oro Valley with special consideration for co-founders Lynette Jaramillo and Agnes Poore from whom our community has great appreciation.
